Getting excited with my site

As the end of the semester is approaching, my web site is also getting ready. I can say that building a site is fascinating and not get frustrated is a must, when the code is not really working at first, second, third, or even fourth time. Patience and check every single part of the code is necessary to obtain the results that we look for. Here is the code that I tried so many times before to place video in my site.

<div class=”Video”>

src =”http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/B5NiTN0chj0&#8243; frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen>

<!–endvideo–></div>

If we take a look to the code seems simple, but I had to add the “http:……” to the code, together with the professor; we found this error, so now it works great!!!!!

Growing cybersecurity concerns

As I am enrolled in Cyber Security Program, I read many articles online to be informed with the latest forms of vulnerability in the systems which ones can be target for hackers.  In this sense, I found this article which seems me interesting. Growing cyber security concerns. With technology advancing faster than ever before, cybersecurity has become a major concern. Hackers aren’t the only ones, though, who are wreaking havoc online. Governments have also used cyber attacks as weapons against each other.

It brings me my concern as well because as a beginner of websites , I have to be careful at the time to launch a website and not being an easy target of hackers.

Getting more skills with Dreamweaver

We are almost getting to the end of the semester and we are all obtaining a lot of knowledge in coding our sites.  It has been fascinating but a little complicated to place the code into dreamweaver and display the contents that I want in my website. For instance, the code for slide show and placing a video was tricky for me; however, after many tryouts I obtained what I was looking for. Coding as I mentioned in previous annotations, it is not simple but once we start to understand the process, the rules, and little tricks, it is fantastic for illustrate our the imagination on the screen.

Here is  a site that used as a reference for my slide show JQuery Cycle Plugin

<ul id=”navlist”>
<li id=”active”><a href=”#” id=”current”>Item one</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Item two</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Item three</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Item four</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Item five</a></li>
</ul>
</div>

CSS
#navcontainer
{
background: #f0e7d7;

Week 7

Hello since patience is the Key, for design and manipulate the web software, so patience is a must. On this week, we started copy and paste code from some examples in Dreamweaver which is still a little confusing to me. Later at home, I tried to do the same and I got some funny boxes checking the live website.  In this sense, we know that coding usually takes a little while to comprehend but keep trying and relaxing; even though, it is not easy but eventually step by step we will get there.

Week 6

My layout is complete. I have been making some real progress building my website and completed the home page preview. The design is kind of simple but interesting. In the same way, I played around with some colors and effects on Photoshop to give an aspect futurist with the green color. However, I am still thrilled by the process in building this new website.
